APRIL 19

They* walked
On feather feet
And saw
With prism eyes
Took the moon
For a rainbow-ball
They loved
Weaving sunbeam dreams
When the black storm rose
The prism broke
That sad celestial eye
Showered
Gray light
The two shadowy sisters
Hobbled
On brick feet

*Two of my students, who lost both parents in a road accident

  1. So beautiful and sad... Reminds me of an old Swedish tradition of ballads (that I don't know what you'd call them in English).
