    VULTURE

Chair With the Wings of a Vulture, 1960, Salvador Dali

 You fly high
But your gaze is on the carcasses
Crush, crunch and chew me
And be pleased with your false aura
That’s no more than some thin sticks
Easily broken and turn to ash
I am neither angry nor feel pain
When you stain your beak with my blood
Your clipped wings can’t take you there
Where I dwell
Delight on the body Black Bird
My soul is tied up elsewhere

That is a great way to be, for it shows understanding...

  5. Ah, this is true freedom. I'll think about applying it to the smaller injuries.

  6. I like the vultures, they are beautiful birds. Often we see them
hovered on the road or beside the road having their feast.
I have heard that vultures do not eat living creatures.

  18. I love this! Yes, lots of feeding imagery in this image and you skillfully turned it into something intriguing. The last line asks more questions than it answers. Beautifully done! Thank you for your wonderful comment on my Magpie!
